抄録

 Increased iron loss in the magnetic core of high-speed rotating motors is a problem, and eddy current loss accounts for the majority of this. Therefore, an ultra-thin electrical steel sheet with a reduced thickness has been developed, and its effect has been recognized. However, it was limited to small magnetic cores due to the restriction that wide steel plates could not be manufactured. A wound laminated core made of ultra-thin electrical steel strips has been developed to further increase the size of the core. In this study, we measure the magnetic properties of a 0.08 mm ultra-thin electrical steel strip wound laminated core with respect to the excitation frequency, and compare it with a conventional laminated core to clarify its usefulness. Furthermore, the wound laminated core is evaluated from the viewpoint of low iron loss by comparison with wound laminated cores having different thicknesses. From the measurement results, it was found that the eddy current loss of the wound laminated core made of ultra-thin electrical steel strips is suppressed and the core utilizes the magnetic characteristics of the single sheet.
