It is very important to understand hemodynamics during extracorporeal circulation. So we intended to apply the ultrasonic flowmeter (MUV-2100) to measure pump output during extracorporeal circulation.
This time, we made clinical use of the ultrasonic flowmeter to measure pump output during extracorporeal circulation on the basis of the experimental data.
As a result, if allowable limit of the difference in measurement between the ultrasonic flowmeter and the electromagnetic flowmeter is ±15%, the ultrasonic flowmeter can be used in clinical case.
