Abstract
In this paper authors introduce a new type of a surgical prosthesis: cylindric total knee prosthesis. Its femoral component is made by alumina ceramics. Its tibial component is made by ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. Their frictional surfaces are segments of a cylinder which radius is 25mm. Authors compared the performance of this prosthesis with other representative ones. The results of some experiments showed that this prosthesis has good performance.
