Abstract
Parameters of polymer-platelet interaction in reversible adhesion (K) and irreversible adhesion (K') were determined from the microsphere-column method. On the basis of K and K', platelet adhesivity on the block copolymer surfaces having hydrophilic-hydrophobic microphase separated structure was estimated. The platelet adhesivity in the initial stage of adhesion was found to depend on the hydrophilicity of polymer surfaces. The block copolymers were observed to exhibit an antithrombogenic property through the suppression on the platelet activation and aggregation i n the later stage of platelet adehsi on.
