In order to study the changes of coagulation factors in the extracorporeal circulation without donor blood, blood platelet counts, S. F. P. and fibrinogen were measured.
The results obtained are as follows.
1) In ECC without donor blood, the blood platelet survival ratio showed higher than that in ECC with donor blood.
2) In ECC without donor blood, the S. F. P. showed higher value than in ECC with donor blood.
3) In ECC without donor blood, the chest tube drainage volume was less than that in ECC with donor blood.
It was concluded that ECC without donor was considered to be effect to prevent from microembolism and to lessor the chest tube drainage volume.
