Crosses were made between an indica veriety “Te-tep” showing resistance to black-streaked dwarf disease and two susceptible Japanese varieties, and the F1, B1, F2 and F3 plants were investigated to estirnate the mode of inheritance. Resistance was controlled by one major gene Bs.
