The pedestrian bridge is rapidly maintained during the period of high economic growth as social infrastructure and contributed to ensuring safety of the pedestrian. On the other hand, the circumstances of the pedestrian bridge is changed due to the deterioration of pedestrian bridge and decreasing safety of the pedestrian, damage from the outside, barrier-free construction, decreasing the number of pedestrian users for changing of the social condition and etc. Furthermore, due to the decline of tax revenue such as the low birthrate and aging society, sustainable management of the pedestrian bridge is important. This paper is shown to the practical management for considering of the pedestrian bridge in Toyama City. Technical property is evaluated to the structural soundness and load carrying capacity, seismic resistance etc. Social property is evaluated to the situation of utilization of the pedestrian bridge and around the pedestrian crossing, future image of urban in the possibility of the pedestrian bridge and etc. In additon, it is introduced the case of removal and changing function of YASUNOYA pedestrian bridge.
