Abstract

In the amusement quarter, where a variety of facilities related to nightlife activities are located in a mixed manner, many cases of infection are confirmed to be caused by kaiyu between these facilities under the COVID-19 crisis. Although ease of kaiyu between facilities is thought to affect the risk of infection spread, there are not sufficient research of facility location characteristics by a type of nightlife activities and ease of kaiyu based on facility layout for amusement quarters. In this paper, we visualized the layout of facilities, and evaluated the proximity of each nightlife activity to understand the characteristics of the current facility locations of several famous amusement quarters in Japan. In addition, we developed a method for evaluating the ease of kaiyu using a unique kaiyu model for amusement quarters, and compared the ease of kaiyu of several amusement quarters and analyzed the effects of scenarios such as closure using the kaiyu model. According to the research, we gain insight into the layout of facilities in amusement quarters that contribute to the prevention of the spread of infectious diseases.
