Abstract

Each driver decides the next driving policy from the surrounding situation and performs driving behavior based on that idea. In other words, the driver forms a driving intention in consideration of the surrounding environment and perform an operation. In addition, since the driver needs to pay attention not only to his own vehicle but also to the behavior of surrounding vehicles that need to be predicted in motion, then driving is stressful to the driver. It is possible that this stress may affect driving intentions and driving behavior. In this way, it is considered that “driving behavior”, “driving intention”, “surrounding traffic conditions”, and “stress” influence each other in capturing a series of driving behaviors. In this study, we analyzed the effects of these four behaviors on each other and obtained findings on their relationships.
