Abstract
A large amount of re-construction work has been still ongoing due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and other large scale earthquakes. Accordingly, there are some problems such as a shortage of workers and a hike in prices of construction materials. Under these circumstances, even inexperienced newcomers have to work in the re-construction sites frequently and have caused many accidents resulting in injury and death. Therefore, it is urgent and essential to train those who are engaged in the construction work. In this paper, comic is suggested as a teaching material, where various kinds of labor accident cases are shown. In addition, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of comic, questionnaire survey was carried out among the lecturers who instruct the occupational safety and health to the workers involved in construction work. As a result, the lecturers highly evaluated the effectiveness of the comic which was intelligible to anyone. On the other hand, it was shown that the selection in labor accident cases is needed for the purpose of labor safety and health education.
