Abstract

Living kidney transplantation should be performed on the certified ethical and medical standards, because it is an act to injure the bodies of healthy donors. World Health Organization Report, Declaration of Istanbul, and Ethical Guideline of The Japan Society for Transplantation described the contents for ethical issues to secure the safety of donors. Amsterdam Forum Report in the world and Lining Kidney Donor Guideline from Japan published the medical criteria for the safety of donors. The selection of donors, the adaptation decision, and the practical control following to these guidelines lead to the safety of recipients as well as that of donors and achieve to the success of kidney transplantation.
