Utilization of community archive through old photo archive talk event in Nanjo City (Okinawa Prefecture)

Abstract

A case example of how to utilize the archive that has been developed through the project "old photo talk event" held in Nanjo City, Okinawa Prefecture. This event collected historic photographs to promote the Eco Museum concept and studied and recorded the history of the area with the residents. We discussed how to record the photograph talk event and suggested the rules in building a database which shall be open in the future. Finally, we presented the possibilities and tips in making the best of community archive.
