Abstract

The scope of digital archives has expanded from the original materials centered on the cultural heritage of museums, libraries, and archives to the administrative materials of universities, national and local governments, and the industrial resources of companies. The media handled by digital archives are expanding from still images, videos, sounds, and texts to those that can be used for AI and data science, such as numerical values and 3D measurement data. On the other hand, digitization through various approaches to the target, such as who provides the data, who digitizes it, and how to respond to the improvement of digitizing equipment and technology, may improve the quality and utility value of the data. Therefore, learning digitization from various fields may be an extremely important factor for the development and development of digital archives.
