This article proposes a new program of science events based on “Systematic Science Education Program”. Although current science programs held throughout Japan offer children opportunities to get interested in science, this new program aims to develop children’s ability to think and encourage their inquiring minds. In carrying out this program, students at National Institute of Technology at Tomakomai College conduct science demonstrations as an extracurricular activity in the field of engineering education. In this paper, we discuss an effective use of science events referring to the results of science demonstrations as well as the results of questionnaires.
