Abstract
TDK has entered into a joint research agreement with Tohoku University to contribute to the development of talented students proficient in the hardware, software, and architecture of artificial intelligence electronics. As part of this effort, TDK participates in a project-based learning (PBL) course titled “Creating the Future with IoT Sensors.” In this course, students acquire a comprehensive set of methods for addressing challenges, from problem creation to resolution, through learning the principles and applications of sensors, the fundamentals of spintronics, hands-on training with sensor kits, AI exercises, and design thinking workshops. In particular, by utilizing the reframing approach of design thinking, such as the integrated system design, it has become possible to create new value from a fresh perspective. As a result, a creative practical learning framework has been established, shifting the focus from product creation to experience creation, and this report details the outcomes of this initiative.
