Purpose: This paper reports on a heatstroke prevention program implemented by university students as "Heatstroke Prevention Ambassador" in collaboration with local government and industry. The study aims to evaluate the outcomes of this educational practice from the perspectives of social contribution and career education. Methods: University students conducted special classes for 191 elementary school students and preschool children. We analyzed the children's learning sheets and the students' reflection reports. Results: The analysis of learning sheets indicated that the children successfully acquired knowledge about heatstroke prevention. Furthermore, the university students gained generic skills through the teaching experience. Conclusion: This student-led initiative was effective as a dual-purpose program for children's health education and students' career development.
