This paper describes a classification of shading method in art field and rendering techniques using a computer. The aim of this study is to create a system which can be used directly by the designer and artist, as a substitute for brushes and painting devices for drawing pictures. 1) Shading technique was investigated, and the classification of these keywords was organized. 2) In the utillization of the density distribution curve method, it was able to draw man shading by computer. 3) Some pictures were drawn using the rendering system CARP. It observed that CARP is effective, because it is able to draw pictures easily by shading techniques.
