Education on environmental impact assessment (EIA) is important in the development of human resources for sound implementations of EIA. This study aims to clarify the actual situation and issues of EIA education in universities. Then, a content analysis of the syllabus and a questionnaire survey of lecturers who took in charge of EIA in 2019 were conducted to achieve the objective. Results show that the number of courses which focus on the only EIA-related-topics has decreased over a decade, while the number of courses which partially include EIA-related-topics has slightly increased.
