A Study on the Methods of Thesaurus Construction for Moving Image Indexing and the Possibility of Application

Abstract

　Film archives or the institutions, which hold moving image collections, have faced the issues on organizing the materials for effective access. For proliferation of making use of the collections, each bodies necessarily require the construction of information system to improve the access to their holdings. In this study, subject access especially thesaurus for moving image indexing is focused and then, the possibility of application to specific collection is examined.
