AMANE Archives : a digital archive collaborating with the Local Community

Abstract

　AMANE, LLC has been publishing the academic digital archive "AMANE Archives" since 2023, which contains approximately 6,500 materials from Wajima and Oshu City as of March 2024. The purpose of the AMANE Archives is to collaborate with the local community through the sharing of the digital archiving environment, in addition to the “Successive Disclosure” of surveys and research on academic materials. Sustainability and long-term operation of the digital archive environment have become issues, especially for regional materials, and depending on the size of the region, it may be difficult to make the digital archive available to the public. In this presentation about AMANE Archives, we will report on the consideration of how to open the archives to the public based on “Successive Disclosure”, and efforts to operate the archives sustainably in cooperation with the local community.
