This study presents a new method of organising the digitization of research data which was developed during studies of the sutra collection of Kongouji Temple (in southern Osaka Prefecture, Japan). The proposed method covers :
1) data collection, particularly with respect to the recording and organisation of digital photographs;
2) research analysis using a database structure which increases research efficiency;
3) research presentation, especially in humanities education settings.
