抄録
In this essay, the author will consider the effectiveness of the perspective of sociomateriality. Therefore, this paper is organized as follows; (1) An overview of the concept of sociomateriality is introduced. (2) The reasons why social materiality is attracting attention are discussed from the following three viewpoints - (a) genealogy of debate on method, (b) organization and strategy, (c) a crisis of management studies. (3) The author will pays attention to the question “What should be studied in information and management research” as an awareness of problem based on three viewpoints. Thus, in order to answer this question, the author will return to the field of office automation and examine the research topic. (4) Finally, the author will confirm that the perspective of social materiality is the same as the foundation of information and management research.
