Recently, Information Systems based on the Internet have been important for social infrastructures. In spite of having such importance, there are very few qualified engineers who can support such systems. So, it is essential to educate and train well qualified engineer. More cpecifically, it is necessary to develop human resources with a practical knowledge and skill. Here, we introduce a method to use system upgrade and replacement for total learning computing system, because of the system upgrade and replacement is valuable practical experience. Department of Information Engineering, University of the Ryukyus, has already replaced a computer system for education. This replacement was successfully done by the students themselves. In this paper, we explain this activity in details. And, we also show the effectiveness of this activity using some questionnaire. We believe that this activity would be a useful reference for other activities.
