A dental laser has superior incision/hemostatic ability. This nature is suitable for a soft tissue disorder operation of oral surgery area. For adaptation of a laser operation, abscission/perspiration of a superficial malignancy and precancerous lesion is put up. We examined the adaptation and problems using a laser for early tongue cancer. In a vascular section, laser were enough for the thermocoagulation than an electric knife. In addition, an erythroid tissue infiltrate was not present in tissue of a section, and there was little bleeding at the resection. As for the laser which muscle contraction does not occur in at an incision, correct margin setting is enabled so that abscission extends to the muscles of tongue layer in tongue cancer. We examined the adaptation and problems using a laser for early tongue cancer. In a vascular section, laser knives were enough for the thermocoagulation than an electric knife.
