Photoacoustic (PA) imaging is a technology that combines the high contrast of optical imaging with the deep penetration of ultrasound imaging. By adjusting the wavelength of the laser, it can identify specific tissues and lesions with high sensitivity and specificity. This technology enables the real-time determination of the precise location and condition of tissues during surgery, significantly enhancing the accuracy and safety of treatment. Furthermore, integrating PA imaging with robotics is expected to extend these advantages further, enabling more effective and safer therapeutic interventions.
