Argon, semiconductor, and KTP laser, have been introduced for use in middle ear surgery. They were useful for work with ossicles, for release of the fixation of the ossicles or tendon, for the removal of hemorrhagic tissue. Several cases are reported of middle ear anomaly, Glomus tumor, and otitis media with effusion, on which laser was irradiated to the lesion.
