Laser therapy for malignant tumor is one of the most hopeful medical applications of lasers. Commonly available laser therapy for cancer is vaporization of tumor tissues using the thermal effect of lasers. However, it is not always free from metastatic risks due to the tumor cells scattered with the impact of laser shot on the tumor or to bleeding with the laser operation. The auther devised the purposive photo surgery using YAG laser and CO2 laser together, taking advantage of the each different effect on tissues. The technique is as follows: First of all a tumor tissue is coagulated to be necrosis with YAG laser. Secondly, the coagulated tumor tissue is vaporized with CO2 laser. The above process is reported one after the other untill the tumor is cleaned out. The merits of this combined laser therapy is as follows: 1) Freedom from metastatic risks. 2) Effective inhibition for bleeding. 3) Relief from deformity. 4) Easy and harmless operation. 5) Being available for free size of tumor.
