Abstract
This is the second report of polarized near-infrared light using light emitting diodes to see its effect on wound healing.
A pair of fresh wounds were made on the back of 60 Guinea Pigs. One of them was irradiated, while the other was not irradiated. Three kinds of lights with different polarization were used for irradiation, i. e. linear, right-hand and lefthand. Each light was irradiated on three groups of animals. All except the left-hand type showed acceleratively effect on wound healing.
