Abstract
Nd-YAG laser treatment was underwent in 65 of eary gastric carcinomas. Post-laser gastric resection revealed 65% of complete eradication of carcinoma. Post-laser follow-up study of 40 lesins showed 85% negative for cancer cells by endoscopic biopsy examinations. Failure of laser treatment was mostly found in cases with depressed type of M area. In failed cases, the remaining cancer cells was located at anal side (4/7=57%) and at oral side (3/7=43%) of the lesins, Although this is due to difficulty of endoscopic technic, laser treatment for eary gastric carcinoma is very valuable and has great possibility for the treatment of choice.
