The thermography was studied together with the low power laser therapy of pain. Symptomatic alleviation was sometimes obtained immediately after the local circulation was improved by the laser therapy. On the other hand the therapeutic effect appeared gradually in the chronic cases during the course of repeated treatments. The thermographic analysis revealed a slight thermal effect at the irradiated area with miniwatts laser, while milliwatts laser worked without detectable thermal effect.
