Abstract
A case of pharyngeal hyperkeratosis cured with penicillin combined with streptomycin. The present case is reported by the author because this is considered to be the first case of this disease cured with penicillin and streptomycin in Japan. As previously stated by Prof. Nishihata, Keio-Gijuku University Medical School, the present case is connected with tuberculosis, the evidence of which is clearly proved from the patient's anamnesis and history of the present illness.
This is the first case of pharyngeal hyperkeratosis for the author durin c his 6 years' experience in the field. In this particular case, hyperkeratosis was not found in the tonsils but on the posterior wall of pharynx.
