Abstract
In view of the results of previous works performed in our laboratory, the authors systematically investigated the cardiac actions of aromatic aldehydes, especially of vanillin and salicylaldehyde against frog, and the influences of taurin and glycocoll on it.
1) The inhibition of cardiac movement induced 'by vanillin is not evidently influenced by taurin.
2) The inhibition of cardiac movement induced by vanillin is not evidently influenced by glycocoll.
3) The inhibition of cardiac movement induced by salicylaldehyde is also not evidently affected by taurin.
4) Also in the case of the mixture of vanillin and salicylaldehyde, almost no effect was exercised by taurin.
