Abstract
Report is made on one case who showed the generalized convulsion by the administrasion of anti-depressant, Maprotiline.
The patient, 46 years old male, showed the intermittent depressive state. On the 19 day, after starting the administration of 75mg/day of Maprotiline, he showed the generalized convulsion. The treatment was suspended. He was examined with measurement of serumlevel of Maprotiline, EEG, cranial CT, blood, urinary tests, EEG activated with bemegride, then, it was considered to be a transient acute intoxicasion with Maprotiline. Therefore, it seems necessary to grasp the latent abnormality of cerebral function in the treatment with antidepressants for depressive cases.
