Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate a validity of center of pressure (COP)-based posture analysis method under realistic field conditions. Although previous studies could estimate trunk flexion by biomechanical model or video-based analysis, there was no method to inform workers how about the current posture was at the workplace. Thus we has suggested the method to estimate postures at the workplace through measurement of COP, however, there has been not yet the confirmation for the validity with other sensor systems. In this study, we compared estimated results of proposed method with those of motion analysis system. We performed experiments to lift loads by using the proposed method. At the same time, the trunk flexion was also estimated by the motion analysis system for tracking markers. Through comparison, we found that there was no difference of trunk flexion between two methods under the condition of 0kg, but there was the difference under the condition of 18kg. Because this difference came from the weight of load, we considered that there was no problem to estimate the angle of trunk flexion when we regarded a distribution ratio between two weights of body and load.
