Abstract
The developed capacitive ECG sensor enables to collect ECG through clothing with unconstrained composition (Figure (a)). It uses active electrodes with prepeg, which makes it bendable in order to maximize the capacitive coupling between the electrodes and the body. The adaptive notch filter is applied for minimizing the engine-derived noises. The Figure (b)(c)(d) show ECG signals at 1) the engine-off, 2) the engine rotating at same frequency as ECG (5-30Hz), and a straight-drive, respectively. The R-wave detection accuracy under the condition 1) and 2) from 5 males achieved 99.8%. The RMSE between the reference ECG indicated 1.4ms and 11.3ms under the conditions of 1) and 2), respectively.
