Abstract

The next Basic Plan for Establishing a Sound Material-Cycle Society states that the use of manifests will ensure the proper disposal of industrial waste, and various digital technologies will be used. It will be added that efforts must be made to promote arteriovenous cooperation, such as by implementing initiatives that utilize. As of May 2023, the penetration rate of electronic manifests, which is one of these digital technologies, is approximately 78%. The basic plan aims to further promote the use of electronic manifests from the perspectives of ensuring proper processing and streamlining information management.

For the purpose of grasping the usage status of electronic manifests in industrial waste disposal companies and extracting issues, we examined the results of a questionnaire survey of subscribers conducted by the Japan Industrial Waste Information Center.
