Abstract

Industrial waste generators are required to have a wide range of knowledge on proper treatment of industrial waste. The Japan Industrial Waste Information Center conducted a survey on the status and format of employee training programs on the environment and waste treatment at industrial waste generators. The survey was conducted with the aim of contributing to the smooth and effective implementation of employee trainings at waste generators by publishing the survey results widely. The survey revealed that although waste generators often conduct their own employee trainings in person, they consider online trainings conducted by an external organization to be the most accessible form of training. It is considered difficult for waste generators to educate their employees by themselves due to the lack of time and knowledge.
