In the case of partially grouted tendons, the tendon is still re-anchored by the filled grout even after the fracture of tendon. Thus herein a bending test was carried out on the PRC beams with a partially grouted tendon after the fracture and AE was monitored during the test. As a result, it was found that by applying the 35% of yielding moment of the beam AE sources are identified around the fractured grout and their locations are almost identical through the loading and unloading cycles. This may indicate that secondary AE occurs around the stress-transition span, and the fracture of tendon can be recognized by detecting the AE around the grout fracture area.
