The vibration characteristic has been experimentally investigated on a cross-ply CFRP laminated composite oval cylindrical shell filled with liquid at different levels. The shells were vertically mounted on the exciting table to be excited horizontally. Frequencies and mode shapes of vibration were determined with STAR-system. The results obtained are compared with those of laminated composite circular cylindrical shell partially filled with liquid.
