The self-synchronized phenomena between two metronomes fixed on a horizontal plate are investigated by numerical analysis and by experiment. Reliability of analytical model and calculation methods in this study is corroborated by comparing the experimental results to calculated ones from the viewpoint of characteristics of self-synchronized vibration and quasi-periodic vibration. In addition, the adequacy of modeling of impulsive torque that acts on a metronome is judged from the computational results for the systems with different models of impulsive torque.
