Recently, the design of sound quality is getting more important task for competitive consumer products. Some kinds of evaluation index have been introduced. In this study, as evaluation indexes, "sharpness" and "loudness" are introduced and the relationship between design parameters and those indexes was discussed using simple flat plate model. FEM and BEM were used as simulation of structural and sound field analysis. According to the results of the study, the response surface of design parameters and the indexes was obtained. The direction to optimize design parameters for sound quality design was made clear.
