A human's gait rhythm changes from one's natural gait rhythm into the frequency of the ground vibration. This phenomenon is called as "pull-in effect". It is known that London Millennium Bridge was closed because the pull-in-effect induced large lateral bridge vibration. Most of studies about pull-in-effect have addressed qualitative property about pull-in effect. In this research, conventional dynamic model was improved to carry out quantitative analysis. Damping while landing and power to maintain walking were introduced in the analytical model. Simulation results of phase difference between a bridge and a human corresponds to that of experimental ones. In order to evaluate horizontal oscillation of the Millenniums Bridge caused by pull-in effect, simulation of walking on the free platform was carried out. In conclusion, a quantitative analysis of the pull-in effect became possible with the use of the improved passive walking model.
