Fluid in the channel can be transported by vibrating the wall of the channel, and this phenomenon has been researched for the application to a peristaltic pump. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the motion pattern of the wall of the closed channel and transportation volume of flow and evaluate the transport efficiency of a peristaltic pump. In order to simulate the volume of flow, cellular automata was used. The rule for cellular automata considered wall attenuation and pressure loss for quantitative evaluation. The results of simulation show that there is the best vibration form of the wall that maximizes the transport efficiency of the fluid.
