This paper deals with an active wave control of a two-dimensional flexible structure. The objective of this paper is to present the feedback wave control for a rectangular panel and to theoretically lay out the characteristics of the control system. Firstly, the transfer matrix method is extended to the Laplace domain. Next, control laws for suppressing a wave propagating between a disturbance point and control point and corresponding characteristic equations are derived. Moreover, the control effects of the control system are presented from a viewpoint of a numerical analysis. It is found that the proposed method can eliminate the designated wave.
