Physique changes during pregnancy lead to gait characteristic variations. This study aimed to investigate the difference of gait characteristics for a healthy adult between wearing a pregnant suit and no wearing. We conducted a straight forward walking test using motion capture system and treadmill including force plates. As a result, t-tests indicate the significant differences between gait characteristics of the wearing suit condition and no wearing condition except the step width. Next, by conducting singular value decomposition to 3D motion data, coordinated actions were calculated. It is found that the principle modes for coordinated actions under the wearing suit condition are close to that under the no wearing condition. From these results, it can be understood that although wearing pregnant suit changes the average posture, the influence on the coordinated actions is small and the stride time is made longer than usual.
