Since the running resistance between the wheel and the rail is small in the railway, sliding is likely to occur when it is raining. Therefore, in order to improve the acceleration performance of the vehicle, it is necessary to make the best use of the slight adhesion between the wheel and the rail by monitoring the slip condition of the wheel and effectively using the control system. On the other hand, fluctuations in the driving force may cause longitudinal vibration of the vehicle, and pitching motion of the car body and the bogie produced in conjunction may cause axial load fluctuation, which reduces the adhesion coefficient. Then, there is a possibility that the traction which has expected at the time of control system design cannot be exhibited. In this report, the results of tests using a mini-model electric car are compared with the results of numerical analysis, and it is clarified that numerical analysis is effective as a tool for predicting axial load fluctuation. Next, numerical analysis was carried out under the condition that the traction motor torque of a part of the train fluctuates, and the axial load fluctuation of all the cars in the train was clarified at this time. As a result, it was confirmed that the axial load fluctuation became large at the resonance frequency of the longitudinal vibration and the frequency equivalent to the pitching of the truck.
