This paper addresses a class of self-excited vibration phenomenon’s modeling and simulation problem.A typical self-excited vibration occurs in hydraulic machine due to the sliding friction at the discontinuous contact/collision.Modelica models including mechanical and contact element using the 2-dimension polygon are applied to study the self excited phenomenon.The modeling and simulation analysis results illustrate the effectiveness of the model.
