As a computer input method without hands, eye motion is a considerable choice. We call it eye gesture and we have developed a computer interaction device in witch a user inputs command by using the eye motion with viewing graphical information on computer display. Since the developed device has a CCD camera to get image of user's eye and a high performance image processor, the device detects both pupil position and eyelid motion at a time. In this paper, the eyelid opening motion is tried to use as a new eye gesture sign. Experimental results show that the eyelid opening motion is a reliable sign to express user's intention but it disturbs the eye pointing motion.
