We developed an “ Insight CAD system” as one of the design support technologies. The purpose of the Insight CAD system development is to check design rules automatically on 3DCAD, and to provide information about the violation part or the violation list for designers. In this paper, we report on the speed of the checking time aimed at improving user usability. In the conventional “Insight CAD system”, the shape conversion method called NURBS with high-precision surface reproducibility has been applied. However, it was a issue that the calculation time is long. In this study, we have converted the shape to a mesh and combined the interference check function called AABB (Axis-Aligned Bounding Box) method with conventional methods to reduce the calculation time. By combining the new AABB method in the conventional system, it was confirmed that the narrowing of the interference region can be realized at high speed. The conventional calculation time relates to interference check that took about 30 minutes, it was confirmed that the calculation time is shortened to 1 minute when adding the AABB method using a fine mesh.
