In the current elevator, many sensors are put on the cage and the hoistway. In order to control the cage up-down motion, Some sensors are used for detecting reference positions within the hoistway. So we have a challenge to decrease the installation space for detecting various type of positions. We report eddy current type position sensor which can detect two types of the reference posiion by using real component and imaginary component of eddy current.
